Sewage and Wastewater Quality Monitoring
Optimizing Treatment Processes and Protecting the Environment
Power plants, paper and steel mills, refineries, and other large industrial facilities use a lot of water. When process waters are then discharged back into surface waters, this can potentially cause thermal pollution and negatively impact ecosystems.
Wastewater and sewage monitoring are critical for ensuring the efficiency of treatment plants, compliance with discharge regulations, and the protection of natural water bodies. Monitoring key parameters such as BOD, COD, pH, turbidity, ammonia, and heavy metals allows treatment facilities to optimize processes, reduce operational costs, and prevent environmental pollution.

Why Sewage and Wastewater Monitoring Matters:
✔ Environmental Protection: Prevents harmful pollutants from entering rivers, lakes, and oceans.
✔ Regulatory Compliance: Ensures adherence to environmental discharge standards and avoids costly fines.
✔ Operational Efficiency: Improves treatment plant performance by providing real-time data for process adjustments.
✔ Public Health & Safety: Reduces risks of contamination in surrounding areas.
Our Sewage and Wastewater Monitoring Solutions
We offer robust solutions for continuous monitoring of sewage and wastewater parameters, ensuring effective treatment and safe discharge into the environment.
- Using a modern UV254 absorption photometer, monitor BODeq, CODeq, and TOCeq parameters
- PAH sensor, determines the amount of oil in water using UV fluorescence.
- The principle of UV fluorescence measurement is much more sensitive than the traditionally used infrared scattering or absorption method. This allows even the smallest traces of PAH to be detected, for example in drinking water and cooling water condensates. Areas of application include the petrochemical industry, leak detection in cooling and wastewater streams, and environmental monitoring. The devices can be used stationary in shafts, streams or pipelines, as well as mobile with an additional handheld measuring device. An innovative coating reduces contamination of the optical measurement window and reduces maintenance requirements. Measured parameters: PAH, grease in water, BTX
- The digital sensor for measuring optical turbidity using the IR scattered light method. Depending on the sensor version, it can be used in clean water up to 100 FNU, as well as in untreated, wastewater, and process water up to 1000 FNU. Measures the following parameters: Turbidity NTU, Turbidity FNU, TSSeq mg/L.
- If higher accuracy and more parameters are required, more complex analysis devices must be used, such as a spectroscope or online chemical analysis. The parameters measured can be: BOD, COD, DOC, TSS, TN, NO3, NO2, ammonium NH4 or PO4 orthophosphates, etc.
