Water coolers and heat exchangers to cool hot water before analysis
Certificates PED 2014/68 / EU
The cooler is used for the collection of hot water to be examined. The water is cooled bringing it to room temperature.
The cooler is intended to cool the water in the boiler so that the temperature is lowered before an analysis. This happens through a flow of cold water.
Models: “manual” model for hot water sampling for analysis with a testkit, an “automatic” model designed to cool water before an analyzer analysis.
Cooler operation
The cooler is used for manual withdrawal of the hot water to be examined. The water is cooled to room temperature.
The cooler is intended to cool the boiler water to lower the temperature before the analysis.
The water is cooled by the flow of cold water. Used to decrease the temperature before analysis.

Flow regulation:
It is necessary to add: a regulating valve at the inlet of the hot water to regulate the flow and a regulating valve at the inlet of the cooling water.
Before sampling, open the cooling valve and then the valve for the water to be cooled.
Adjust the cooling water valve in relation to the temperature of the water to be examined, until the desired optimal room temperature is reached. Cold mains water is considered cooling water.
It is not possible to mount either a shut-off valve at the outlet to the water to be examined or at the outlet to the cooling water. The cooling water must not have back pressure.
Water flow adjustment:
some analyzers (for example DUROMAT, DUROMAT Professional and Testomat) can give a signal before the analysis to open the solenoid valve entering the cold water. This avoids the continuous flow of cold water.
